The European Pine Marten is a rare and cute weasel type creature. It is found in most of Europe, Asia Minor, the Caucasus and some parts of Iran, Iraq and Syria. Here are some facts:

1. Only one adult can live on a patch of land.
2. They sometimes hunt and eat Grey Squirrels, helping the population of Red Squirrels.
3. During the their diet is mostly made up of about 30% berries and fruits.
4. They store their food during the summer and autumn to stock up for winter.
5. Their lifespan is 8 years.
6. Their babies, known as kits, are usually born under bushes or in a hollow log.
