The pressure is already getting to new Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat, it would seem.
With the Mackems chasing the game at West Ham, the Dutchman made the age-old signal to the referee to ask how much time was left.
But in doing so Advocaat pointed to his left wrist – completely forgetting he was actually wearing a watch on the opposite arm.
Schoolboy error.
He was clearly more concerned about his side trying to rescue a late equaliser at Upton Park, having fallen behind to a Diafra Sakho effort only moments earlier.
The 1-0 defeat leaves Sunderland just a point and a place above the drop zone, and with only eight games left to play, you could say time is running out for Advocaat to save the club’s season…
