Ladytron—the Liverpool synth-pop quartet of Helen Marnie, Mira Aroyo, Daniel Hunt, and Reuben Wu—are back. The group has announced its first new studio LP since 2011’s Gravity Seducer. The album, which does not yet have a title, is produced by Jim Abbiss and is coming out this autumn (via Pledge). Today, they have also shared the record’s first single, “The Animals.” In a press release, vocalist Marnie said, “‘The Animals’ was the first new song we had, and with it we went immediately into the studio with Jim Abbiss.... He’s the producer who has really understood us the most.” Listen to the track below (via FLOOD).
