Former M&S model Noemie Lenoir looks the picture of health as she soaks up the sun in Miami

French model Noémie Lenoir looks a world away from her former troubles as she soaks up the sun in Miami.

The former Marks & Spencer lingerie model, 31, showed off her enviable figure in a grey and neon bikini as she reclined on a lounger by the pool.

Her holiday in Florida comes just 10 months after she tried to kill herself following her split from footballer Claude Makélélé, father of her six-year-old son Kelyan.

Apparently by herself, the mother-of-one was in good spirits as she laughed and joked with the pool attendants, even planting a kiss on one of their cheeks.

Lenoir - who modelled lingerie in the M&S campaigns for four years until late 2009 - is feeling healthy again, after admitting her weight plummeted to 7 1/2 stone last May.

The 5ft 9 model is keen to put her suicide attempt in May last year firmly behind her.

She was found unconscious in a forest near Makélélé's Paris home after apparently overdosing on pills.

In an interview two weeks ago, Lenoir broke her silence on her suicide attempt, admitting she 'did something really, really stupid'.

Lenoir said she and her ex-boyfriend had attempted to make their relationship work again for the sake of their son.

After their romance ended, she started suffering from depression, which left her feeling 'like I was poison'.

She told Guardian Weekend: 'People say, "How could she do it, how could she try and kill herself, didn't she think about her son?"

'But they don't understand. I love my son so much. But I didn't think I was good enough, I thought I was poison. Poison for me and poison for him. When I was depressed I felt like I was poisoning his life by being in it.

'I thought he would be better with his dad and my mum to look after him.'

Lenoir said she realised she and Makélélé weren't meant to be together after she awoke from her coma.

While she concedes they are 'never going to be friends', she praises him for being a good father to their son.

The former L'Oreal model is now dating a Jewish doctor, but declines to name him.
