Neighbours star Jodi Gordon has opened up on her return to the popular Australian soap as Elly Conway.
The actor will make her way back to Ramsay Street alongside April Rose Pengilly, who will reprise her role as Chloe Brennan.
Fans of the show will remember the beloved couple reunited in the final episodes of the soap's original run before it was miraculously saved, with new episodes set to air on Amazon Freevee.
Now, Gordon has spoken about her feelings returning to Neighbours while the actor has also enrolled in university full-time to study counselling and communication skills.

"I don’t think that part of Neighbours has ever left me," Gordon told The Herald Sun.
"The fans are very vocal, and when I found it was being picked up again, I thought there might be a possibility of bringing the characters back together in some way so it’s great to see."
The pair will be back filming for the show in guest roles next week, with Pengilly taking to social media to share her excitement.
Sharing a black-and-white photo of the actors together on her Instagram page, she confirmed that 'Chelly' will be returning to our screens.

She captioned the post: "We are excited to announce that Chelly are back! We will both be appearing in the new Neighbours, and will be back on set very soon. Thank you all so much for your support. We can’t wait to share Chloe and Elly’s next chapter with you!"
Gordon commented on the picture, writing: "Yassss here we go!!! So excited baby xx."
Pengilly previously spoke about her shock at the iconic soap being saved, saying she was "shocked and confused" by the renewal and hinted that the cast knew nothing about the announcement.
"I'm so happy for all of you to have your show back and know you're so excited, but it's strange for us as we knew nothing about it," she wrote on social media last November.
"Apart from the Heritage 4, none of us have been asked to be involved yet. It's like, all us cast and crew lost our jobs. Now the jobs are back! But maybe we don't get the jobs."
Neighbours returns in the second half of 2023 with new episodes streaming free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. Network 10 will retain first-run rights in Australia for the new series.
