I’ve spent much of the year away from home, neglecting our garden, and it’s become overgrown. Always a bit of a jungle, it’s now impenetrable.

In a way, I haven’t minded, as it’s interesting to see what happens to a landscape during the growing seasons without us interfering. This year, especially, as we’ve had great conditions for plants — lots of rain and high-ish temperatures. And my groves of tree ferns have loved it.
