Sonya 'The Black Widow' Thomas eats 138 chicken wings in 12 minutes

Maybe Sonya Thomas lost to Joey Chesnut in the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest.

But this Labor Day weekend, the "Black Widow" outlasted Chesnut in a Buffalo, New York chicken wing-eating contest.

Sonya downed 183 chicken wings in 12 minutes. It was a world record of 6.43 pounds of wings.

According to her website, here are some of the records she set in 2010:

• October 16, 2010, (Lady Luck Casino) Moon Pies, Carruthersville, MO: 38 Moon Pies in 8 minutes.

• July 15, 2010, San Juan, Puerto Rico: 53 Taco Bell Soft Tacos in 12 minutes.

• June 6, 2010. New Orleans, LA: 37 Dozen Acme Oysters in 8 minutes.

• May 31, 2010, Long Island, NY: 26 Dozen Cherrystone Clams in 6 minutes.

• May 6, 2010, Washington DC: 43 La Costena Jalapeno Peppers in 1 minute (unofficial: local TV exhibition).

• April 10, 2010, New Orleans, Louisiana: 6.5 lbs of Crawfish in 10 minutes.

• March 27, 2010, Portland, ME: 6.93 lbs of (Binga Stadium Tender Bender) Chicken Tenders in 10 minutes.
