According to Contractor Dwight Smith with D&D Constructors, LLC, right, he was waiting to fence off the property and was waiting on private engineers to see what to do next Monday morning, May 22, 2023. "I hope theyÕll let me replace the storm drain pipe with a solid pipe. It looks like it's compromised at the collar," Smith said Monday while pointing to a sag in the pipe at a connection. ÒI think it eroded from under that connection.Ó Smith also added it could take till the middle or end of June to complete the job. Smith also said that SW 27th Avenue and SR200 were not compromised in any way and seemed to eroding back towards the plaza area.
