Football is a pretty big deal around here! 🏈

The Pioneer Woman said it herself: "Friday night football. College football. NFL football. Fantasy football... have I mentioned that we're a football family?"

Of course, now that Ree and Ladd Drummond are empty nesters, there will be less high school football games to attend. "It's the first fall in many, many years that I'm not gearing up to cheer on one (or more) of my boys at Pawhuska Huskies football games! I do have a heavy heart about this," she acquiesced. Then again, that just means there's more time for Ree to catch up on college and professional football this year. But when exactly does football season start?

Everyone knows that football season goes hand in hand with the start of fall. But unlike the first day of fall (which isn't until late September), the first day of football season is sooner than you might think! That's right—you should plan to break out the buffalo chicken recipes and game day outfits because football season is about to kick off!
