Girls’ hockey team at Leeds University banned over chav party where they dressed in track suits and swigged Lambrini

A FEMALE hockey team at a posh university has been banned for holding a chav-themed night out.
The Leeds University Union Women’s Hockey team encouraged party-goers to dress up as "lower class" people for the bash and that "ASBO behaviour" was expected.
Furious Leeds University Union chiefs sacked the team captain and banned them from competing in the prestigious Christie Cup - a huge sports tournament between universities in northern England.
Shocking snaps of the event showed boozed-up revellers carrying fake babies, wearing tracksuits and covering their bodies with tattoos.
A Facebook post announcing the event in the women’s hockey team group said: “We educated fair maidens, studying in one of the countries (sic) grandest universities, would find such behaviour, entirely alien.
“We have routinely schooled ourselves in the art of moderation, the ability to say and recognise the need for an early night.
"And yet ladies, for one night only we feel we should set aside all that we believe to be good, honest and noble, and replace our champagne flutes with cans of K cider.
"Skin should be orange, eyebrows perfectly groomed, and luminous underwear on show."
One girl even tagged her Instagram location as "juvenile detention centre" when posting pictures of the bash.
The club's captain posted her snaps with the hashtags #chavnight and #bringingbackthecornrows.
