UCAS Discovery Conference - ExCeL Centre, London

On Monday 27th March, twenty Year 12 students had the opportunity to attend the UCAS Discovery event at the ExCeL Centre in London Docklands. They attended seminars and presentations on the new UCAS application process and how to prepare for student finance.
The hall was full of over 150 stands, representing nearly every university in the country as well as the top apprenticeship employers in the country. Here they could learn about the entry requirements for different courses or apprenticeships and speak first hand to those either employed at the university or company, or those currently studying or working in these universities or companies.
Eli said, “this was a really great opportunity for me to meet people from different universities as I’m still very unsure of where I want to go to study for a degree. I think its fantastic that the school provides us with these opportunities, because otherwise we would miss out and other students from different schools and colleges would have an advantage over us.”
